US COVID-19 deaths surpass US deaths in Vietnam War

In a blog post on April 4 I wrote

As of this writing (4 April 2020), Worldometer is reporting 7,847 deaths in the US from COVID-19.

This exceeds the combined US deaths (7,599) from all US wars & conflicts since the end of the Vietnam War.

As of this writing (28 April 2020), 24 days later, Worldometer is reporting 59,110 US deaths due to COVID-19, exceeding the 58,209 US deaths (combined combat, accidents, suicide, and murder) in the 14-year Vietnam War.
